The DMV Exam
Once you complete a first time driver course the State of Florida requires that you pass a written exam that tests your knowledge of road signs and road rules. The DMV exam is 40 questions. 20 of the questions test your knowledge of road signs and 20 questions test road rules.
Both the traffic schools listed offer a course that prepares you to pass the DMV test the first time. A high percentage of people fail the DMV test the first time they take it. In that situation you have to go home, make a new appointment and return the DMV to take the test over.
NOTE: As of July 6, 2011 the DMV Test CAN be taken online by those under 18 - if you are 18 or older you must take the DMV test at a local DMV office.
Note that HighSchooDriver.com has free practice tests for the DMV exam on both road signs and road rules..
