Tallahassee Overview

Tallahassee is the capital of Florida located in Northern Florida housing the governing bodies of Florida. The Old Capitol building built in 1902 has been restored to its original appearance and stands in front of the new Capitol building.


Tallahassee is home to America's largest number of original plantations (71 plantations) and lists 122 properties on the National Register of Historic Places.
